
Alice Robbins Molineu, 97, formerly of Edinburg, VA, passed away in Ashland, VA, on February 4, 2016. Born in Annapolis, MD, in 1918, she was the daughter of Edward T. and Lucia Geekie Robbins. She was the widow of James Harold Molineu, Jr., who died in 1989. She is survived by son James Harold Molineu (Connie) of Athens, OH; Margie Gautieri (Vito) of Attica NY; and Carol Gibson (Lawrence) of Ashland VA; plus 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her five older sisters: Adele Jordan (Warren), Dorothy Keeney (Donald), Elizabeth Kennedy (William), Margaret Barnes (Charles) and Frances Knackstedt (Wahl). She grew up in Annapolis, graduating from Annapolis High School and from the Annapolis Business College. After working as a secretary, she married James Harold in 1938. In 1953, she and the family moved to Edinburg. She was employed at the Edinburg School, Windsor Knit, and as a teacher’s aide at Robinson Elementary in Woodstock. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and St. John‘s United Methodist Church in Edinburg. Graveside services will be held at Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg, on February 11, 2016 at 1:30pm. Afterwards, a reception will be held at The Edinburg Mill. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. John’s UMC, 116 South High St., Edinburg, VA 22824.
