Ann Brothers Long, 85, of Henrico, wife of the late Coach Ray Long Sr., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Brothers and James Edward Vass. She is survived by her three sons Ray Long Jr. (Leslie), Charlie W. Long (Vicki), and Michael D. Long(Ellen), the loving grandmother to Cara Jean O'Neal, Dana Long, Aimee Long, Taylor Chapman, Brooke Long, Holly Long, and Ray Long and two great-grandchildren Turner and Ashton O'Neal; brothers, James Guy Brothers and Lewis Brothers; sisters, Jane Horton and Suzanne Hamrick. Ann was a loyal employee of Thalhimers with over 30 years of service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home- Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005. A private interment will be held in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
