Anne B. Saunders

Saunders, Anne B., of Ashland, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Sam Saunders; sons, Joseph Saunders and his wife Catherine, and John Saunders and his wife Crystal; four grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra, Sam, and Elizabeth; and her brothers, John Barrett and William Barrett. Anne was a long time member of Saint Paul’s Catholic Church and School, the Catholic Women’s Club, and the Hanover Country Club. Anne will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 18th at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 909 Rennie Ave., Richmond, VA 23227. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
