Arthur “Chip” Pagnini, 56, of Beaverdam passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Chip was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 17, 1960. He was an employee at Willis, Towers, Watson in Glen Allen. Chip was an extraordinary person, faithful to God and his family. He was a Deacon at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church. Deacon Chip officiated at weddings and baptisms and took his calling seriously. Yet he was always the first person to laugh or tell an anecdote. To know him was to love him and when you did, you felt blessed. He was fun, spontaneous, loyal, giving and faithful. He loved his wife, Janice, and daughters with complete abandon. He was adored by his wife, daughters, parents, in-laws, sisters, grandsons, his nephew and nieces, great nieces, cousins and many, many friends. He will be missed continually and loved forever. Life without Chip leaves a tremendous void. He is survived by his parents, Arthur J. Pagnini and Catherine C. Hodgens; wife, Janice; children, Jillian Pagnini and husband, Ken Schoenhofen, Elise Pagnini and husband, Mike Lepler, Rebecca Pagnini and Sarah Pagnini; grandchildren, Declan Arthur Schoenhofen and Owen Robert Schoenhofen; siblings, Cori McNerney and husband, Kevin, Jennifer Haynes and husband, Craig and Mary Lou Torres; in-laws, Edward and Elaine Flanagan; nieces and nephews, Kyle and Dawn McNerney, Caitlyn McNerney and husband, Jake Pinkston and Olivia Haynes; great-nieces, Logan and Kendall McNerney. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland, VA with a prayer service at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, May 6, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
