Arthur Linwood Traylor Jr.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Edwards Traylor, his parents, Arthur L. Traylor Sr. and Willie Nuckols Traylor and a sister, Mary Alice Gantt. He is survived by a son, Michael Kennedy Traylor.

Arthur, a U.S. Army veteran, served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he opened his own heavy equipment repair service, Traylor's Industrial Maintenance, Inc.

Arthur was a member of Slash Christian Church, Mount Hermon Road, Ashland for many years and a member of Ashland Masonic Lodge #168 AF & AM for over 50 years.

Arthur enjoyed old cars, hot rods, and racing all his life, and upon retiring he finally realized his dream of locating and restoring a 1938 Chevrolet Coupe like the first car he owned as a teenager. This car became his new toy and his pride and joy.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bimaljit Sandhu for his wonderful care and friendship.

Relatives and friends are invited to Arthur's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home- Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Kenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery, 11208 Elmont Rd., Ashland, VA.
