She is preceded in death by her mother Bernadine Mesick White, father Marley Bruce White; brother Marley "Buster" Jackson White; sister Mary Lois Demao; and husbands, Claudie Hamilton Cooke, Frank G Perkins, Joseph E Meeks.
She was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Richmond, VA and New Creation Ministries in Mathews, VA. She worked as a bookkeeper and became an ordained minister later in life.
Bernadine enjoyed crabbing, fishing, travelling, sewing and won awards for her crafts.
She is survived by her children; Glenn White, Brenda Cooke Pelluet, Gail Cooke, Cathy Cooke; son-in-law, Michael Treger; grandchildren, Beth Sepelyak (Mike) and Chesa Pelluet, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Interment will take place on Saturday, October 24th, at 11 a.m., Woodland Cemetery in Ashland, VA.
