JONES, Bessie Mae, 100, of Montpelier, passed away on July 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Daniel Rice. She is survived by her husband, Rosewell Jones, Sr.; step children, Tony (Jeraldine) Jones, Roswell (Peggy) Jones, Jr., Charles (Joan) Jones, Joanne Brown, and Diane (Peter) Farrar; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special nieces, Jean Dungan and Ellen Stanley. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, where services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016. Interment will be at Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church.
