Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Archie L. Moore Sr.; her beloved sons, Tommy Berry, Brien Cameron, Michael Cameron, and her cherished grandson, Thomas Cameron; and her dear sister, Willie Mae Bowman.
A woman of steadfast faith and quiet strength, Betty spent her professional life as an accounting clerk, serving with dedication in various insurance organizations. Her true calling, however, was service—to God, to her church, and to others. She was a faithful and active member of New Found Church of Christ in Glen Allen, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and gospel music, which she loved deeply.
Betty’s heart extended far beyond her home church. She generously gave her time and energy to several congregations, including ministries serving Vietnam veterans, where she helped provide meals, support, and compassion to those who had given so much. Her kindness was practical, her faith lived out daily, and her presence was a comfort to many.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her legacy forward, including her daughters, Sandra Wilkie and Judy Cameron; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Cameron; step-children, Al Moore, Tommy Moore, Brandon Moore, Sheila Conrad, and Wendy Seay;
22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 honorary grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her deep devotion to God, her love of gospel music, and the countless lives she touched through quiet acts of service. Her faith was her foundation, and her family was her joy. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
