Bryant Keith Hanson

Bryant Keith Hanson "Ham", 58, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hanson and Alice M. Mullins. He worked as an excellent craftsman, excelling at carpentry. He had a love for softball and participated in many teams throughout his life, including a team with his daughter. He loved to spend time with his family and friends making them laugh, collecting antiques and restoring them, watching football, racing, and playing horseshoes. He is survived by his wife, Tina Weatherford-Hanson; daughter, Kristen Hanson (Tyler); beloved grandson, Cayden Bowles; step-son, Tyler Weatherford; sisters, Rhonda Mills (Ronnie), Susan Stanley (James), and Robin Gibson (Kevin); step-father, Edward G. Mullins; niece, Ashley Mills; nephew, Chase Gibson; special friend, Johnny Payne, and other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, VA 23005, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
