PATTERSON, Carol Ann, 48, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon and her parents, Kenneth and Marie Chandler. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Henry Patterson; children, Henry Patterson, III “Frankie” and Chandler Douglas Patterson; two sisters, Diane Robbins (Ray) and Karen Broaddus (Alan); two sisters-in-law, Gladys Granger and Melvinia Wilson; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Carol was a loving wife, mother, and sister. The family will receive friends from 12pm-4pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Services will take place at 1pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 16210 Shortcut Rd., Doswell, VA; with the Rev. Dr. E. Richard Swan officiating. Interment will be at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
