COBB, Cathy Hanky, 55, of Aylett, passed away on November 9, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, R. Wade Hanky. She is survived by her mother, Leslie Hanky; brother, David (Susan) Hanky; sister, Carol Buchanan; niece and nephew, Casie and Brock Buchanan; her soul mate, Mike Cole and his two sons, Ryan and Matthew; a host of extended family and friends; and her beloved pets, Boomer, Yogi, and Biscuit. Cathy worked for 33 years at Dominion VA Power as an Electric Delivery, Safety and Performance Specialist. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and VCU. Cathy loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, cooking, and entertaining. She also loved animals. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, where services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in memory of Cathy.
