Charles Paul Stout Sr.

Charles Paul Stout, 98 of Glen Allen VA, passed away peacefully, on November 27, 2022. Charles is survived by his loving wife of over 76 years, Fannie Taylor Stout; two sons, Charles P Stout Jr. (Louise), and Gordon F. Stout (Gayla); five grandchildren, Amy Stout, Charles Stout (Laura), Stacy Barnett (Brian), Holly Stout, and Chad Hollins (Chelsea); and four Great-Grandchildren, Madison Barnett, Savannah Barnett, Makayla Hollins, and Rosalie Hollins. Charles was a Navy Veteran, who proudly served his country in World War II, aboard the USS ODUM. Following his military service, he began his career at Reynolds Metals Company where he remained until he retired, after 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he and his wife devoted themselves to serving their Lord and their community. Charles will be greatly missed and will forever be remembered as one of the kindest and most dedicated people on earth. He was loved and respected by everyone he knew. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:00 am on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005 where a celebration of the incredible life he lived will begin at 10:00am. This will be followed by burial at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd.
