Daniel Clayton Wickham

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, John Bryan Wickham III; brother, John Bryan Wickham IV; and paternal grandparents, Lois Whittaker and John Bryan Wickham Jr.

Dan graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2011. He served in the U.S. National Guard. Dan had become a devout christian, he was a member of Oak Grove Wesleyan Church. A true artist, he loved to play viola and guitar. Above all, he loved nature. He was either talking trees or talking Jesus.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, E.B., Bailey, and Coty Wickham; mother, Marie Long Wickham Mercer (Craig); grandmother, Mary E. Johnson "Gran Gran"; uncles, Allen Wickham (Vickie), Fred Wickham (Lenny), and Walter Johnson; aunts, Barbara Bunger; "Aunt Bobbie", and Margaret Covington; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Oak Grove Wesleyan Church, 16360 Woodman Hall Rd., Montpelier, VA 23192. A funeral service will begin at 2pm with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oak Grove Wesleyan Church in Dan's memory.
