Davie Eugene Thomas, age 83, of Montpelier, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Eugene Thomas, and brother Lewis Thomas. He is survived by his two loving children, David Thomas and Sarah Cantor and her husband, Hyim, and He is also survived by his cherished four granddaughters and one grandson.
Davie was a dedicated truck driver and a proud self-employed businessman for 50+ years. He found great joy in working on cars and his truck, and was an avid race fan. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness. Davie especially appreciated and took pride in hauling for J. E. Jones Lumber Company in Montpelier.
Services for Davie are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad for their help and kindness during the family's difficult time.
