Dennis Allen Harris, 57, of Beaverdam, passed away March 15, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Ray Harris. He worked at Bear Island Paper Company and was a dedicated employee for over 38 years. He was a member at Chapel Church of Christ in Montpelier. Dennis is survived by his son, Ryan Matthew Harris; mother, Catherine Harris; sisters, Debra Harris Gravatt and Tammy Harris; mother of his son, Lisa Harris Lohrey, as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Highway, Ashland, V A 23005, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to service. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
