She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Keith Parrish, Sr.
She dedicated 36 years of service to the telecommunications industry working for C&P Telephone and retiring from Verizon. Doris was a long time member of Taylorsville Baptist Church in Doswell.
Doris is survived by her son, Earl Keith Parrish Jr.; Brothers in law and sisters in law; as well as many nieces and nephews and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 6pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Taylorsville Baptist Church, 15415 Taylorsville Rd., Doswell, VA 23047 with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Taylorsville Baptist Church, in honor of Doris.
