She was preceded in death by her parents, William Earl Gammon and Estelle Mills Gammon Bandy. Edith was survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James Clarence Williams, Sr.; devoted children, James Clarence Williams, Jr, "JC" (Jennifer), and Neil Williams (JD); cherished granddaughter Kendall Williams, and sister Doris Graninger.
Edith had a deep love for playing the piano, singing in the church, shopping, tending to flowers, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family.
She was an active member of the Ashland Church of God and Full Gospel Church in Caroline County.
Relatives and friends are invited to Edith's visitation on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, 11310 Hanover Ave, Ashland, VA.
