Edward Russell Goff, born on April 2, 1951, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 74. He was a resident of Richmond, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Gray Gibson, and father Lewis Monroe Goff, and his devoted friend Joseph E. Jackson.
Edward was a beloved friend, devoted companion, and unforgettable personality who touched the lives of everyone he met. He worked as a shop assistant for Ashland Ford and Sheehy Ford, where he was known for his kindness, dedication, and unmatched sense of humor.
The most kind and devoted individual. He loved drawing, Superman, and starting each day with his morning coffee. A big fan of wrestling—especially John Cena and The Rock—he also enjoyed watching Westerns, Matlock, MASH*, and Big Brother.
Edward cherished his friends at the Ashland Fire and Police Departments and was always quick with a laugh—especially when “writing” and “issuing” speeding tickets to his friends. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family.
He loved his loyal dogs, L.A. and Max, and often found joy in simple pleasures, like taking his coins to the Coin Star machine.
Edward is survived by his loving companions, Keisha Evans-Farve and Wilbert Farve, with whom he resided, and close friends, Joyce White Jackson, Michael D. Jackson, and Gail Evans. He is also survived by Max Evans-Farve, the family dog.
Edward will be remembered for his generous heart, contagious smile, and the joy he brought into every room.
