Elizabeth Poythress Thompson

She was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Poythress; parents Foxhall and Roberta Poythress and a great-grandson August Loy.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Happy Thompson (Renee) and Randy Thompson (Christy); thirteen grandchildren, Skylar (Josh), Zachary (Emily), Emily (Kelsey), Caitlin, Jacob, Lydia, Cameron, Brenden, Tristen, Micah, Sam, Jonah, and Addie; two great grandchildren Kylie and Anie; and her sister, Laura Butterfield.

She attended Henrico High School where she later graduated. Elizabeth dedicated many many years to being a hairdresser. She had a way of making people feel beautiful on the inside and outside. In her free time she loved watching old TV shows and spending time with her children. Elizabeth had many family members and two best friends she enjoyed talking on the phone with. She will be missed by all that she knew. She had a heart of gold.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. We welcome all friends and family.
