He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elaine Chamberlain.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Allen and Jennifer Welch; siblings, Candice Mowerey (Erin) and Daniel Welch; grandparents, Jerry and Debbie Welch; aunt, Michelle Herring (Josh); uncle, Kevin Welch (Terry); and niece, Scarlett Welch.
Eric graduated from Patrick Henry Highschool in 2019. He loved the cold weather and had the dream to move out west to Idaho or Montana. He enjoyed graphic design and loved his cats dearly. He began working at Dollar General in Montpelier and really loved his new found freedom. Eric will be remembered for his calm quiet nature and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
A memorial service will begin at 11am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Casual attire is requested by the family.
