Stanley, Ernest “Berkley”, 70, of Beaverdam, passed away on May 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Stanley; children, Roger Stanley (Sharon), Sylvia Howard (Daner) and Cynthia Stanley; 2 nieces who he raised as his own, Theresa Willson and Edith Toney; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, where services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Interment will be at Riverside Community Church cemetery.
