Evelyn Frances Durrett

She was a bookkeeper for 40 years at Kiddie Kingdom in Ashland. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, most recently worshipped at Forest Grove United Methodist Church, and was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Durrett and her twin sister, Edith Durrett and is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Durrett (Sara) and Gregory Durrett (Lisa); grandchildren, Kayley, Zachary, Emily, Austin and Alyssa; sister, Doris Morefield (Stuart); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005.

Due to COVID restrictions, a service for the family will be held Saturday, January 30, at 11 a.m. at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 18580 Partlow Rd., Beaverdam, VA 23015. Friends are invited to listen to the service by way of a radio broadcast in the church parking lot and to join the family for the graveside service in the church cemetery immediately following the service in the church sanctuary.
