Gary Lee Edwards Sr., 68, of Henrico, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016. He was a retired picture framer. Gary enjoyed, fishing with his best friend Jr, a.k.a. Buzzard, cooking shows, hanging out in his kitchen, flea markets, and the lottery, but never won. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena Edwards; and son, Gary (Bubba) Lee Edwards Jr. Gary is survived by his wife, Evelyn Diane Edwards; children, Debra Edwards, Russell Edwards, and Michael Edwards; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings, Grace Moore, Betty Cauthorne, Linda Cauthorne; half-brother, Robert Floyd; and his beloved puppy, Buddy and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 2-4p and 6-8p at Nelsen Funeral Home Ashland. A service will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2pm in the Reid Chapel of Nelsen Funeral Home Ashland. Interment will be at Riverside Baptist Church cemetery in Beaveram, VA.
