Williams, Giles R. “Pop”, 70, of Hanover, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry M. and Sarach Clark Williams; and brother, Ralph Williams. He is survived by his companion, Margaret Edwards; her children, Minnie Lopez and Steve Edwards; his brother, James Clarence Williams; his sisters, Jean Allison, Mary Corley and Maxine Grimes; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. “Pop” was a hard working mechanic for most of his life.The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, 23005, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, at 2p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.
