She was preceded in death by her parents, J. H. and Helen Thompson Hobbs of Madison, VA, and her son, Jay Nuckols.
Helen is survived by her son, Chris and his wife, Kathleen; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy. Also surviving are four granddaughters, Autumn (Ayhab), Kristen, Megan (Chris), and Savannah; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va 23005. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Walker's United Methodist Church, 7402 Orange Road, Orange, VA 22960.
