She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A.D. Carson, Jr.
Hilda was a dedicated secretary throughout her career with Lynchburg transit company and a devoted member of Boonsboro United Methodist Church for many years. A proud graduate of Brookneal High School in Brookneal, Virginia, she carried the values of her education with her throughout her life.
She is survived by her son, Robert W. Carson (Karen); grandchildren Caroline C. Hudson (Dave) and Rachel C. Hale (Kevin); and her great-grandchildren, Anna R. Hudson, William R. Hudson, Emma B. Hale, Kayden S. Hale, and Carson J. Hale.
A graveside service to celebrate Hilda’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Union Hill, Baptist Church Cemetery, 12986 Red House Rd., Brookneal, Virginia 24528.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boonsboro United Methodist Church or Union Hill Baptist Church in Hilda’s honor.
