Hunter Allen Durrett Sr.

Durrett, Hunter A. “Pap” Sr., 78, of Ruther Glen, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his great grandson, Hunter Jacob Matthew Barnes. He is survived by a daughter, Rowena Dunlap and husband, Norman of Durham, NC; son, Hunter A. Durrett, Jr. and wife, Donna; sister, Lorene Tombs; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Pap always stood behind his family and so he wouldn’t be alone he joined his boy Jacob in Heaven. Thank You Dad for always being there for us.The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at County Line Baptist Church, 3461 Ladysmith Rd., Ruther Glen, VA 22546. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association: 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
