Irma was married to Alvin for 67 years and they were like "Peanut Butter and Jelly." They met at the School for the Deaf and Blind in Staunton, Virginia. She was a homemaker for 11 years, then worked 18 years for the Data Fold Company. She later worked at the Smokey Pig in Ashland until her retirement. She loved house decorating themes that started with Strawberries then ended with Cardinals. She was very passionate about her soap operas, especially "The General Hospital." Thus shared, you definitely never interrupted or planned anything when her stories were on. She was loved by all and cared deeply for her family and gatherings with lots of good food. Her smile and wearing hats in the last few years became her fashion trend that many will remember and miss.
