James Franklin Brooks, 92, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January, 24, 2021. James was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister. James is survived by his brother, Curtis E. Brooks (Barbara); sister-in-law, Sylvia Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and he was a maintenance worker for Hanover County. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Wednesday in Woodland Cemetery, 204 Hanover Ave., Ashland. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
