JONES, James H. Jr., 66, a resident of Bumpass, Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Jones Sr. He is survived by his mother, Jean Chalkley; and his brother, John Jones; and half sister, Cheryl Jones. James was a graduate of Lee Davis High School and was an accomplished carpenter. An avid hunter and fisherman (tournament bass fisherman), he loved teaching others to fish. He was also a Civil War buff and historian. The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
