Slim was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Gerald Marks and siblings, Gini Linsenmeyer, Joe Marks, and Jerry Marks.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie Marks; siblings, John Marks (Terri), Patti Briscoe (Randy) children, Kenneth Marks (Tiffany) Goldie Curry (Scoots), and Stephanie Hairfield; grandchildren, Summer Ranson (Eli), Skyler Stone, Chloe Curry, Seth Curry, Anthony Marks, Callie Marks; and great grandchildren, Bradley Ranson and Sutton Stone; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Slim retired from Coca-Cola after dedicating more than 25 years to his career. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who was always there for those that he loved. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005 to celebrate Slim's life.
