Ward, Janice Garner Edmonds, 71, of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Beverly Grey Edmonds, Sr.; a son, Beverly Grey Edmonds, Jr.; two infant daughters; and a sister, Ella Seay. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Andrew J. Ward (A.J.); a brother, Paul J. Garner, Jr. (Betty); two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ward was a child care provider for many years and later owned Antiques of Tomorrow in Ashland.The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA, where services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 23, 2013, with burial in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
