Jean was born April 21, 1928 to the late James Christopher and Doris Waters.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis H. Carter.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Donna Henderson (Calvin); sister in law, Doris Waters; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Taylorsville Baptist Church, 15415 Taylorsville Rd., Doswell, Va.
