Joseph Daniel Traylor Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Traylor.

JD is survived by his wife of 41 years, Julie Stanley Traylor; his children, Cady Nuckols (Jason), Jessica Hendel (Will), and Joshua Traylor. He is also survived by 4 grandsons, Parker Canter, Ross, Joe and Win Nuckols. JD also leaves his sister Michele Jones (Terry). JD had one nephew, Austin Jones and his favorite niece Nicki Childress. Surviving JD is his work family from South Anna Stair and Rail.

JD was a member of the Patrick Henry High School graduating class of 1978. He served, for a time, with the Ashland Volunteer Fire Dept. JD loved being outside and spending quiet, solitary time in his "man cave." JD was a good and gentleman who was loved and will be so greatly missed.

A time for family and friends to visit and reminisce has been scheduled for 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va 23005. where JD's celebration of life service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 11, 2022 with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, his final resting place.
