Joyce Lee Roberts of Ashland, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2025. Joyce was born and raised in Duplin County, North Carolina before relocating with her family to the Richmond area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose unwavering faith and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a cherished member of the community, known for her kindness, dedication to her family, amazing cooking, and expert bowling skills.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Delmas, her sons Del (Donna), W.C. (Desiree), Bryan (Jean), and Curtis, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Patty Blackburn, brothers Gary (Wanda) and Ronnie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Carlyle Roberts and brother Roger Roberts.
Services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Third Church, 600 Forest Avenue, Henrico, Virginia. Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m. with the service starting at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.
