Stanley, Joyce Evelyn Loving, age 73, of Ashland, passed away July 5, 2013. Surviving her are her two daughters, Julie S. Traylor, her husband, J.D., and Brenda L. Stanley, her companion, Tim Layne; four grandchildren, Cady T. Nuckols, her husband, Jason, Nicki Childress, Jessica D. Traylor, her companion, Will Canter, and Joshua D. Traylor; one great-grandchild, Ross D. Nuckols; three brothers, Monroe, H.T. “Nookie,” his wife, Joyce, and Alvin Loving; four sisters, Frances L. Hale, her husband, Berkley, Doris L. Tignor, Annie L. Williamson, her husband, Charles, Barbara L. Goodman, her husband, Ernest; numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce, loving widow of C. Vaughan Stanley, was a homemaker, member of Slash Christian Church, and a devoted, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013, at Nelsen Funeral Home-Reid Chapel, Ashland, Va. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 11 a.m. at Slash Christian Church, Ashland, Va. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Slash Christian Church Adult Choir Fund.
