June Dishman Hale

June Dishman Hale, 88 years of age, of Elmont, Va. Passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Everett V. Hale Sr.;  her son Everett V. Hale Jr., Parents Claude D. And Mozelle H. Dishman, along with her brothers Charles A. Claude-Wade Dishman, and Clyde E. Dishman, and her sister Helen Traylor.

    She is survived by her four grandchildren, Joseph Hale and wife, Shanen, Kimberly Hale, Samantha Pope, and husband Matthew and Ashley Locastro and husband Gabe, also six great-grandchildren Emma Hale, Sara Hale, Adam Hale, Onalisa Leone, Penelope Pope, and Savannah Pope. She is also survived by two sisters, Edith Richardson Dishman of Rockingham, North Carolina, Betty Webb of Colonial Heights, Virginia and daughter-in-law, Deborah Hale.

    She was an active faithful member of Kenwood UMC of Ashland, Virginia. She was an excellent seamstress who handmade most of her clothing and loved to crochet. As of 2016, she was a 55-year member and a past matron of the Hanover chapter #130, Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from the insurance industry after 40 years of service.

Relatives and friends are invited to June's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home- Reid Chapel on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 12 PM until the funeral service at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kenwood United Methodist Church, 11208 Elmont Road, Ashland, Virginia 23005.
