Karyl Stacy Traylor

Karyl passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 82. The daughter of the late Eshamen & Mary Wimmer Stacy, she was preceded in death by her brother Freddy Stacy, her sister, Betty Jane Southard and her life partner, Hoyt Robinson. She is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife Theresa.

Karyl retired from the Commonwealth of Virginia, having spent 33 years in the Department of Accounts.

In her retirement, Karyl took a furniture upholstery class at a local high school, and she and Hoyt spent many hours upholstering furniture for friends and neighbors.

Karyl loved spending time with Hoyt, riding around in her “pride and joy’ red Corvette, going to Marco Island, Florida, and especially visiting Disney World – Karyl loved anything associated with Disney!

Her family invites you join them for a visitation on Friday, July 31 at 11 am and at 12 noon for funeral service at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S Washington Highway, Ashland VA 23005.

Burial will follow at Signal Hill Cemetery.
