Powell, Lee Forrest, 28, of Virginia and Florida, left this world suddenly on September 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Warren Daniel “Pete” Powell; maternal grandparents, Lorraine Kay Maier and Robert O. Maier. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Claire Powell; his brother and best friend, Brian Powell and Brian’s fiancé Shana Bara; paternal grandmother, Jeannette Powell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Lee graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2004. Lee was an avid outdoorsman who loved the game of baseball and children held a special place in his heart. The family will receive friends from 4-5pm on Saturday, September 13th with a service to follow at 5:00pm at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA.
