Lorraine Yeamans Hope, 94, of Montpelier, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Davis Hope; and son, Robert M. Hope. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melinda H. Ray (Alan), William H. Hope and Faith H. Bentley; daughter-in-law, Dawn Starkes-Hope; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 12, at the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. 23005. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hopeful Baptist Church cemetery, 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier, Va. 23192. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
