Lucy always seemed so calm and steady and had a positive effect on others. It was a pleasure to talk with her. I’ll never forget her generous offer to bake cookies with our oldest child to give her a break from our busy household and younger siblings, forever sensitive to the needs of others.

I remember Lucy as a young, beautiful mother when both of us had children at Kiddie Kingdom. She always arrived dressed neatly for the day and spoke with a sweet, relaxed voice as if getting there was no problem at all. I was always dressed in scrubs and rushed in like my hair was on fire, after working night shift at the hospital. What a contrast! It was so soothing to slow down and chat with her.
Though health problems came in her life, I believe that she was one of the most blessed women in the World because she she was loved and cared for by her wonderful husband, Maurice. My love and condolences to her friends and family.

Lucy was a lovely, warm person who so clearly loved learning--no matter how or what. She'll be so missed.

We will cherish Lucy's memory & recall her sweet smile, her big heart and her willingness to help others. She was a respected teacher and friend. We especially remember her invaluable help with a refugee family that our church sponsored. She spent countless hours with them tutoring, transporting, shopping, befriending & otherwise helping in any ways she could. She will be missed by all who knew her.
