Lucy Dalton Taylor

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton C Taylor Sr.; her daughter, Terena Caldwell; her brothers, Stuart Dalton, RB Dalton, and Elmo Dalton; and her sister, Magdalene Dalton.

She is survived by her son, Carper Taylor (Kim), her grandchildren, Dylan Taylor (Jenn), Cali Caldwell, Trey Taylor and Paige Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Haley Taylor, Brandon Champion and Nathan Taylor. Her brother Blaine Dalton (Karen); her sisters Alease Goodman (Enash) and Alma Holloway (Jim) and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lucy was a devoted and hardworking individual who recently retired after years of dedicated service. She found joy in attending church whenever she could, drawing comfort and community from her faith. At home, Lucy loved spending time in her yard, nurturing her flowers with care and pride. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lucy's visitation on October 30, 2025, at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, from 12 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1 PM. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069.
