Margaret Lucy Tilton Gray, 88, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 31, 2016. She was born in Hanover County, Virginia to William E. and Rose Pearl Cauthorn Tilton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Willard Gray, Sr.; her brother, William Tilton and sister, Mary Adams. She is survived by her loving sons, Joseph (Stacey), William (Audrey), Jimmy (April), Johnny, and Ronnie (Betty); 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; her brother, Andrew Tilton and her sister, Martha Loving; her loving caregivers, W.D. Adams (nephew) and his wife Nancy. Funeral services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy. in Ashland, VA. The family will receive family and friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, followed by graveside services at Woodland Cemetery.
