Marie Thurston Glass, age 92, of Ashland, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Martin Glass, parents Mary and Luther Thurston and brother Billy Thurston. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Friedhoff (David), son Wesley Crawford, step-daughters Rebecca Mills, Alene Davis and Irene Sipe (Larry); grandchildren Christopher Friedhoff (Carlee) and Amy Crawford and great-granddaughter Aubrey Friedhoff.
Marie was a Manager for Mayberry Ice Cream and a member of the Hanover Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, word searches, cross-stitching and crocheting.
Relatives and friends are invited to Marie's visitation on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005 and where a funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 10 AM. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831 at 2 PM.
