She was diagnosed with the disease ten years ago. Mary drove a Hanover County school bus fourty-four years, retiring in 2012.
She was devoted to her husband of 48 years, Franklin, who passed away in 2008.
Mary is survived by two sons: Franklin D. Tignor, Jr. of Chesterfield and Kenneth Lee Tignor of Ashland, a daughter-in-law, Janet Tignor of Chesterfield, and a younger sister, Ann Boyd of Belcamp, MD.
Mary lost several of her dearest friends and neighbors in the past decade, and due to the length of her illness the family has decided on a small, private remembrance.
She was so brave. We love you Mom!
