

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernie Belcher, step-daughter, Jan Crowley; step-son, Gary Belcher; parents, Walter Gordon Douglas and Helen Dundon; and brothers, Gordon Douglas, Tommy Douglas, and Donnie Douglas.
Nancy worked as a phone operator for C & P telephone company. She was a member of Saint Ann's Catholic church, she was a the president of the residence association at little sisters of the poor. She also has much love and appreciation for Saint Joseph's Villa, where she grew up.
She enjoyed painting and writing as well as playing bingo. She was known to love horseback riding and liked going to the Zoo to watch the monkeys or going to the beach to watch the dolphins.
Left to cherish her memory is her step-daughter, Patti Zodan; brother, Daniel Douglas ( ); sister-in-law, Peggy Douglas; nieces, Kelly Emmons, Jodi Douglas, Linda Nichols, Michelle Robinson, Bridget Stafford, and Sandra Douglas; and nephews, Bryan Davis, Chris Douglas, Joseph Tumasian, Christopher Tumasian, Mark Douglas, Ken Douglas, and Donnie Douglas Jr.
A memorial service for Nancy will be held 11am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at St. Anns Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead St., Ashland, VA 23005 with a reception to follow.
