

Bobby was born in Shelby, North Carolina, on December 30, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie Mauney, and his siblings Joyce Brown, Sarah Duncan, William Mauney, Norma Faye Draucker, and Tommy Mauney.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later retired after a career with Utility Trailer and Great Dane. Bobby was a faithful member of New Found Church of Christ, where he worshiped and grew in his love for the Lord.
Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of sixty years, Rosemary “Rosie” Mauney; his children, Robert “Robbie” Mauney Jr. and his fiancée Kim, Michelle Agostino and her husband Gus, and Susan Brooking and her husband Todd. He was a beloved Papa to Justin Mauney (Amber), Jacob Agostino (Sophie), Emma Brooking, Abby Conner (Jackson), Hannah Agostino, Rachel Mauney, and Ethan Brooking. He also adored his great grandchildren Madelyn, Monroe, and Graham.
Bobby will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steadfast faith in the Lord, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and service will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bobby's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA, on Saturday, October 4th, from 10 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The reception will be at New Found Church of Christ, 14166 Gordon’s Lane, Glen Allen, VA 23059, Everyone is welcome.
