I have known Bob my entire life. He credited me with getting him started in radio. His folks and mine were long-time members of the Albion Moose Lodge. He graduated from Albion High School a couple of years after me. Bob didn't seem to let his physical challenges slow him down. I hardly ever (never) agreed with his Facebook postings but we remained friends always. I knew something was up when his postings ceased. So I decided to look into it and found his very brief obituary. Rest in peace, my friend. Dave Eddy

Bob was a very special friend. For some reason, unknown to me, he thought I had a good radio voice and we produced some food stamp commercials. Had many great lunches. He was one of the good guys.

Bob was one of the nicest people I have ever worked with in my time with VDSS. His humor and kindness will be missed. He is forever one of the good guys.

Bob and I both worked at the Virginia Department of Social Services for many years. I loved teasing him that he had the best “telephone voice.” I am sure that his smooth voice served him well during his radio years prior to coming to VDSS. He truly was one of the good guys, and he will he missed by many.

With sympathy,
