Bob was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Louise Priebe, his first wife Iris, and daughter Brenda Priebe.
He is survived by his wife Doris, stepson Boyd Smith (Helen), grandsons Charles Smith, Jr. (Tracy) and Judson Smith (Merriel), great-grandchildren Emma, Dexter, Caden, Grace, Hannah, Walker and Theodore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob loved his family, especially his great grandchildren (he always loved when they would come to visit him.)
Bob has a great passion for raising and racing pigeons that started in his early teens and continued until just a few years ago when his health issues no longer allowed him to participate in the way he was use to. He was a longtime member of the Concourse Pigeon Club where he had many friends. He was a lifetime member of the Doswell Vol. Fire Company.
The family would like to thank Bon Secours Hospice who made it possible for his last months to be spent at home where he wanted to be. Special thanks to all the caregivers for their loving care and compassion which has been greatly appreciated.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Taylorsville Baptist Church Food Pantry, Doswell Vol. Fire Company, Doswell Ruritan Club or the Richmond Concourse Pigeon Club.
The family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Taylorsville Baptist Church located at 15415 Taylorsville Rd. Doswell, VA 23047. The visitation will be followed by a Memorial Service at 11AM. Afterwards a procession to Signal Hill Memorial Park will be held for a Graveside Service at 1PM, located at 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd. Hanover, VA 23069
