Ruby Nell Cauthorne

She is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Allen Edwards, loving husband, James C. Cauthorne, and cherished son, Eddie Cauthorne.

Ruby is survived by her children, James Jr., and his wife Betty Cauthorne, Daisy Jackson, Allen and his wife Sharon Cauthorne, Jessie Cauthorne, Diane Edwards, Alice Hughson and her husband Scott, and her devoted and loving sister Helen. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Ruby worked as an Inspector for Tysons Corporation, was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Beaverdam, enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, quilting, reading the Bible, and most of all spending time with her family and church family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ruby's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home- Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005, on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery, 20057 Teman Rd, Beaverdam, VA 23015.
